  • Role Description

    • This is a remote contract role for a Research Analyst at Layer Labs. The Research Analyst will be responsible for performing market research, analyzing data, and providing insights and recommendations based on the research findings. The Analyst will also be responsible for communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Job Overview:

    • We are seeking a hungry and willing-to-learn Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in researching, analyzing, and reporting on various models, mechanisms, and designs on Ethereum L2’s and token design for scalable appchains. It also includes collaborating with team members to publish research and disseminate knowledge about your research. The most important attribute is the thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn about different Modular, Rollup, App-Chain tech.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Research into App-Chains, Rollups, Data Availability, Modularity, and other blockchain ecosystems to stay up to date on current trends
    • Able to explain complex concepts in simple terms to a non-technical audience
    • Develop an understanding of the tokenomics and financial structure behind each protocol to gauge its viability long term
    • An open-minded research approach and genuine intellectual curiosity

  • Qualifications:

    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • Comfortable working in early-stage startups
    • Strong understanding of App-Chains/Rollups/Modular Blockchains or keen to learn about these concepts!
    • Willing to learn about Layer Labs incubator and willing to learn. There is room for growth as Layer Labs scales up and needs great talent to fill roles
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to synthesize complex topics and provide concise summaries for readers in a thesis driven manner.
